History - The Family Of Brawlers & Oranges
In the East Blue there exists an insland by the name of Conomi Island, home to Cocoyashi Village and also home to a young female by the name of Menma. In a family consisting of three brothers, Menma was always seen as the weak link apart from being the youngest. Subjected to the rough play-fights her brothers forced her to participate in. They were kind, though annoying, the type you couldn't live with but certainly could live without. Aside from her family relationships, Menma spend her younger years on an orange orchard. From day to night, she aided the seeds in growing as well as her mother in preparing meals.

"Mennma, no fighting with your brothers." She was often told by her mother, an honest woman who expected the child to live a life more bountiful than her own. Despite her mother's words, Menma could never blow off steam or calm her calm her nerves unless in the heat of battle. Her fights usually beginning from her drifting off to sleep when being spoken to though that would all change when her brothers left her at the age of ten to explore the world as professional brawlers.

Her emotions were stirred, questions left unasked and in the end it only stacked the amount of work she was expected to finish by the end of the day. As time passed, she often wondered what it would be like to explore the world. To go beyond the limitations of the orchard and tackle the hardships in life head on. The only problem would be leaving her parents behind. She was certainly not selfish enough to run away though not submissive enough to stay forever. Upon reaching the age of fourteen, she told her mother of her wishes to see the world for herself and it only brought a smile to the woman's face. It was something she expected after all and with her mother's consent, she left the island.

"Mama! I'll return one day. Keep the oranges pretty!"

History - From Fists To Palms, From Wanderer To Martial Artist.
Now at the age of seventeen and a product of grow, Menma found herself wandering about the blues. It was not for Exploration's sake, but to test her metal. She challenged anyone willing to raise their fists to her in a brawl, fighting becoming somewhat of a passion for the female. Her record was 58 to 2, an honest record built over a timespan of two years and having done so gained a fair amount of strength and skill in combat. However, one day Menma was challenged by a monk who used only his palms. With a barrage of fists, Menma battled her foe. To her surprise however, she was defeated after a single blow.

"H-..How"

This she pondered as she lied there on the floor. It was only then that the monk offered her a hand up, whispering the female an offer. "Strength is not determined by how hard one can punch, but by the reason they are punching. If you would like to learn more of what strength is, I would be willing to teach you." He said with with a cane propped below him and his eyes gazing upon Menma's bust, she had certainly developed over the past years. This annoyed her, though she was eager to learn the definition of strength and so she accepted.

For the next three years, she went through vigorous training. Both mental, spirtual and physical. She was taught various things, such as fighting techniques and the like. Though more importantly, she learned more about what life had to offer beyond brawling with fists. She learned to appreciate life more as a whole, from small ants to the grass that sways in the wind. It opened up her mind to new ideas and possibilities. The meaning of tranquility and an assortment of other life lessons that she still holds dear. Now at the age of twenty, she found herself wanting to share her knowledge with others and possibly help those in need along the way. The decision of becoming a marine coming from the countless stories she was told by the retired monk and marine. Cruel stories relating to past experiences, of pirates and crooks and thievery and death without a meaning.

With her thanks given, both she and the monk parted ways. From there with her newly acquired skills and knowledge, she went on to join the marines.

History - New Door, New Life.
Upon joining the marines, Menma was subjected to a life of authority, rules and boundaries. As she rose through the ranks, she found herself in control of more and therefore dumped with more authority. It was something she was not used to, nor was it something she liked. Due to her lazy demeanor, she was labeled the "Lazy Palm" before long and with regret in the back of her mind, she continued to press forward in life.

The stories of pirates replaying in the back of her mind from time and time again. Devlish low lives who kill without meaning. Said stories are what reminded Menma of her own objective however and is the only reason she never thought of leaving the marines, despite the new life of authority and rules she was forced to adjust to. Her life as of now is a mystery. Menma feels as if she off the path she once set for herself when leaving home though with said objective in mind, she will continue to push forward until a brighter day arises and her true purpose in life is made clear.
